Glue with Allure

Is it advisable to put an adhesive product or perhaps a shellac based product down on our floor prior to laying Allure?

I wouldn't think so. It is designed to be a floating floor with the edges free and within a quarter of an inch from each wall. It may work but it would definately nullify the warranty. An HD rep told me it is acceptable to silicone seal the edge adjacent to a tub or shower as the silicone allows for some movement but otherwise it should not be glued down. If you want glued-down vinal there are many more options than Allure.
