General flooring question

bemgolf Member   Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 43	General flooring question I have a foyer and was wondering if it is personal preference for tile or hardwood flooring, or is there an Advantage or disadvantage to using either. Thanks

Bud Cline Tileguy     Join Date: Mar 2006 Posts: 9,104	General flooring question Typically a "foyer" gets a little extra abuse if it is used to enter and egress. Therefore something durable and easy to clean and water resistant would be a good choice. Tile.

I have thought about cutting it out at the archway to put tile in front of the door. The wood over the years has been stained something terrible, __________________ All the best to you and yours, Tom
