Garage floor resufacing

As looking to resurface my garage floor. It is all pocked and tough to walk on without shoes. Was looking to use the resurfacer from quickcrete. Looks like you just mix it, dump it and squeegee it smooth. Just looking for any tips or suggestions.

You should, at the least, scrub with a de-greaser like Simple Green, etch with muriatic Acid, neutralize with ammonia, and pressure wash.

I'd be a little hesitant to just trowel it on without prepping the surface properly. In most cases, we would grind or shot blast the surface since it is difficult to get a good bond if you have hard troweled concrete.
