gaps in engineered floating wood floor

is it normal to have small gaps here and there when putting these floors together? I chose the floating floor method and i'm gluing the pieces together. seems like one of the planks were warped. If this is not normal, what is your method of preventing these gaps?

No it's not normal.
Unless your trying to use Bruce brand flooring then nothing would surprize me.
Unless your nailing it down there is no way to close up the gaps when gluing.
Set it aside, may be able to cut it for an end piece and have it work.

You can pull the wood together with 1 1/2" blue painters tape. Pull it together as close as you can and then push the tape to the wood and pull it together. Once you get a few rows together you can start doing every other row as needed. I have done this many times. It works well.
