Fresh grout disclored in backsplash

I just finished grouting my backsplash on Friday p.m.,(sanded) but have not yet sealed it. Despite careful selection the grout looks very light compared to the color swatch on the box and the grout lines are very bold. It's not awful but it changes the character I was hoping for when I inlaid a 1 x1 border and I would like to blend the lines so the tile is more visible

I assume that had I sponged a bit deeper I would have narrower lines. Several dark spots have also appeared although I thought I had mixed the grout to a smooth texture.

1. Is there anyway to tint or color the grout to be less visible before I seal it

1. Can I gently remove some of the grout to narrow the lines before sealing.... 24 square feet 2 x 2 tile

you can try a grout stain. they work well.and are easy to use. good luck.
