Framing tile fireplace with hardwood how do you determine the cut/angle?

Hello,
I am trying to install hardwood flooring in my living room. I have a tile fireplace that I want to frame around the hearth with the hardwood and then continue the flooring into it. How do you determine the angle of the cuts?

Since no one here know what it looks like or what pattern your looking for it's had to say.
A simple bevel gauge or a Starett 505-7 will work.
Just Google them if you do not know what they are.

I am trying to determine the degree of the cut, I shouldn't matter what it looks like. I would assume there is. Trick to determining the degree.

Most hearths are nothing but a rectangle, so no one here knows why you need anything but 90% cuts unless they can see what the problum is.

Tell us what the original angle is---and we will divide that in half (the miter angle) for you.
