Forgot mortar under backerboard

I just finished laying the last, most complicated piece of cementboard for a bathroom floor and realize I forgot to mortar it in! This is what happens when you lay a floor at midnight. I need to pull in up in the morning and put down the thinset, right? Can I put the screws back in the same holes? What a moron....

I agree, don't sweat it, just do it right the second time. If the screws strip then use longer ones.

Look at the bright side, you remembered before you installed the tiles. Don't feel bad, I've made worse mistakes than that. Like the time I painted a whole room before the drywall was installed. Or that time I laid sod green side down

Thanks everyone, things looked much brighter by the light of day. All subflooring is in and the tile will be down by end of day.
