Our basement had water pipe break. We at times get some water in basement, not alot but enough to stain carpet alittle. Is there anything better then carpet to lay? We have 2 bedrooms and living room down there. Is ceramic tile better?

Yes,properly installed ceramic will take occasional water with no damage.

You ask,........Is there anything better then carpet to lay?

Yes, Everything is better than carpet.

Yes of course, ceramic is the only way to go. Carpet should never be used in an area that might get wet or even damp. Might also want to investigate why your basement leaks water and fix it too.

Ceramic tile would be best fit for your problem . Naturally carpet would always stain when compare to ceramic tiles that are easily to maintain the cleaning stuff and aside the fact that ceramic are easily to repair Even though ceramic is strong, there is still the opportunity for breakage as with any earthenware.
