Flooring Laser?

I'm starting my first slate tile project. I'll be doing it room by room over a period of time, so ultimately there's quite a bit to do.

If you've used a flooring laser, was it worth it? I wouldn't mind buying one (what the heck, it's a TOOL!) if it really makes the job easier or faster.

Any opinions will be appreciated!

I love gadgets (I mean tools ).

The problem I found with lasers as guides was every time you needed to see your reference lines your hand, arm, head was in the way.

I use a laser level now to mark my end points and then snap a line.
