Flooring Estimate (Tile) - Want to know your thoughts

Once thinset has cured onto any backer board it can't be salvaged. The surface will never be level and will create more problems than its worth. Mud will be too think in some places and will result it cracked tile from shrinkage. Not to mention, after all that banging around with the demo of the existing floor, it could knock a lot of your floor lose in the process. You need to start from scratch with every floor.
