I have a dry [6 years and counting] basement with a concrete floor. The floor was sealed and the expansion joints polyurethane caulked due to a radon issue. Over the sealant is latex floor paint that has done perfectly well over the past 6 years....no issues at all.
My plan was to ceramic tile this until I started reading things....not tiling over paint and sealers...don't want to de-radon proof my floor by sanding.
So this leave me with laminate as my best likely choice in most of the area [some will get rubber gym flooring of some type]
Any recommendations on both the laminate and rubber....my research has led me to High Pressure laminate with a rating of 3 or above on wear finish....anything I am missing or not considering that I may want to think about?
....ALSO....I think I would be very happy installing a no glue laminate! Any suggestions on which of the millions is better??
