Flooring

We are installing laminate flooring over the top of hardwood floors and are not sure how to handle the heat and exchange registors--they are wall mounts next to the floor. As we install the flooring, the registors become higher so don't match the screw receptables in the vent system. Does anyone have an idea how to handle this?

Pull up the hardwood floor....but seriously, pics would help, but you may be able to secure the vents to the wall itself.
