Flooring

I currently have parquet flooring in my kitched, living room, stairs and entrance and would like to remove an install an engineered laminate floor. Is it possible to remove the existing parquet flooring, it is glued down, without having to replace the sub floor?

Check to see if the installation included an underlayment that could also be removed and wouldn't have an effect on the subfloor.
