I am redoing our bathroom. The floor in there has always squeeked right in front of the vanity. I drove some screws in today along a couple of joists for about 2 feet. I am sure that I found the joists, but the floor still squeeks in that area. Could the subfloor be squeeking against the plywood? What are your suggestions and recommendations?
That makes sense. I don't think there is a joint, at least in the sub floor where I am working. I haven't pulled up the lino. planning on floating it and putting flooriing over top. I will do some more investigation thanks for the tip.
