floor joist in cellar

mike rosato Newbie   Join Date: Jun 2012 Posts: 1	floor joist in cellar want to add 6' of 2x10 floor joist as a sister joist for a section that is cracked. Is it OK to use 5/8 traded hex bolt every 12"

bob22 Member   Join Date: May 2008 Location: Near Philly Posts: 1,955	floor joist in cellar Mike, I'd repost this in Construction. Issue has been dealt with many times there. How long is the existing joist span? 6' may not be enough.
