Floor Covering Protection

Any suggestions on how to protect floors during new construction?

Wood floor will be installed with first coat and I'd like to protect it from scratching, gouging, etc.... while other trades are in house.

Also would like suggestions on how to protect vinyl and tile floors as well?

Floor Covering Protection

1) Old Carpet flipped upside down.
2) old carboard boxes.
3) Chead plastic sheeting
4) industrial type manilla roll of paper.
