Floor Color


Any suggestion for what type of stain were used in this floor ?


Yellow ?

Appears to be Maple flooring, with a clear / natural finish.

Not stained.

No its not maple I removed one of the piece from the floor today.

Looks like Red Oak. Just polyurethaned with no stain or maybe a natural stain under the polyurethane. Do you know who the manufacturer is?

Your 'yellow' comment is perhaps because typical oil-based clear finishes lend a slight golden-amber tone to the wood. Avoid water-based finishes if you want to duplicate that look as they can give a faint milky-white tone to the finish.

The good news is that you have some pieces to experiment with. Clean that end off, sand it a bit and see what plain polyurethane looks like on it.
