Floating Vinyl Floor


wow, you did a lot of work on your own...why not consider doing the flooring yourself. Alot of the tongue and groove flooring is really simple to put in, easier than you think.

I watched a good friend of mind and his wife do it...neither of them knew much about carpentry at all, they flew right through it.

Even tiling is easier than you think, as long as you're not doing extravagant tiling.

You can rent a tile saw for about 25-40 bucks a day...and I did almost all the main tiling first and then rented the saw for a day to finish the rest of the cuts.

Personally, I don't like laminates....for me, they always seem to fail and by the time you replace them every five to ten years, its worth the extra investment to do it with better materials the first time. You can check ebay and other places for better materials, builders auctions, etc.
