Default Fixing nicks in prefinished flooring

So, I put down prefinished bamboo flooring and baseboards. Everything is (finally) done except for one thing. There are a few places where nails didn't go in nicely and splintered the wood a little. I plan to fill them in with wood putty, but is there something I can put over the putty to "re" finish it? I just worry that because the wood splintered, even with the putty, it may snag things like rugs or socks... I was thinking lacquer or something. Any advice? Thanks

I would see if the manufacturer of the flooring has a recommendation. Laquer would not be a great choice.

Believe it or not, clear fingernail polish. Be careful not to overbrush it, because it will melt the aluminum oxide finish on your floor. It will bond well to the aluminum oxide.
