Fixing apartment carpet

My hubby and I live in an apartment and we've noticed it has begun to buckle in some areas. Is there a way we can fix this? I know it's not a house we own, but I just find it unsightly.

Mention it to the owners. It may well be under warranty.

This is a common problem with carpet, specifically older carpets. All you need to do is contact an installer or flooring store and request an estimate to re-stretch the carpet. It should not cost very much to do and is a fairly quick job in most instances.

Humps can be caused by any number of things, but in my experience the two biggest culprits are the underpad, and delamination/stretching caused by excessive cleaning (hot water extraction) or something that has broken down the latex that adheres the carpet to the secondary backing.

Should be no sweat to have fixed!
