Fix Stair Tread?

Know it's rare, but it happened. I made a slight mistake. Without going into details, I cut a couple stair treads short. Since u had NO spare wood I left it as is.

How would you fix this? I have some small pieces. I could cut off a small sliver and glue it in. My worst spot is about 1/8" in width. All the other (3) are less than a 1/6". Those I will just caulk.

The rest of the treads are perfect.

So....sliver of bamboo or just caulk it?

They are glued down. It would be major carnage to remove them. MAJOR.
