Fir T&G flooring

That came out very nice
I really like the look of the logs on the wall
Are those real cut in 1/2 or a mfg look alike ?

Fir T&G flooring

Hey Dave... All the logs I harvested from trees on my property. The logs are shaved on two sides to make a tight fit. The diminsional lumber, including the floor, was milled by a friend who has a wood miser mill and myself. I had the flooring planed and t&g at a local mill. Vertical logs are very practical and fairly easy to work with. All the wood is douglas fir (red fir in this woody neighborhood).

Yep, they sure do! Here's a pic of the addition under construction where the wood floor is located. The addition is on the 'backside' of the house.

Fir T&G flooring

Thanks for the thumbs up guys. I feel like an 'A Idol' whose gotten praise from Simon Cowell. LOL. Thanks, really! In case you were curious, here's a pic of the east side approach to the house. The furthest window on the right is will be the music room/office that'll look over a pond/waterfall thats under construction. Except for the addition I built most of the house in 1975.
