Question

Fill in concrete gap on floor

In my dining area, there is a gap of close to 1-inch wide and at least an inch or more deep between the frame for my sliding glass door and the actual concrete/cement floor. I am preparing to replace the vinyl on this flooring and would like to fill in that gap before I start the project. Can I use plaster of paris? Would it be strong enough to support weight once I've laid vinyl planks on it to stretch all the way to the door frame?

Plaster won't hold. Use a patching cement.

Fill in concrete gap on floor

Thank you, Rusty. Is patching cement something that I can buy at Lowes or Home Depot? Is there a professional name for it or anything?
