A few final laminate questions...

Ok, floor is just about done! It was easier than I thought. Just a few questions.
1) When sealing the floor around doors and other places where water might be an issue, do you apply the sealer on top of the vapor barrior to keep water from getting between the barrior and the floor? Or do you cut the barrior right where the floor stops and seal both the subfloor and the laminate? I have the vapor barrior running all the way to the edge of the walls so after the floor stops, there is the 1/4 inch of barrior protruding up to the wall. Hope that makes sense.

2) When using the 4 in 1 moudlings, do you recommend screwing, nailing or just glueing the plastic track to the subfloor? (I am working with slab).

Thank you for all the help so far!

Sealing...sealing for what? You can't seal a laminate to be water tight. If you get too much water on the floor too many times, you're not gonna be happy.

You should follow the instructions all manufacturers put on their products. There are so many laminate these days.

When sealing (I presume you mean sealing the 1/4" expansion joint around the perimeter of the room) it won't matter if you seal over the underlayment barrier or not. If your on slab and ran the barrier to the wall just seal over the underlayment. In regards to the molding just glue that down over slab (don't want to think about nailing or screwing that thing into slab) just use a liquid nail type glue and your good to go.

Correct, I was talking about the expansion gap. Good, I was hoping I could glue it...the directions say to screw it to the concrete and I was dreading that. Thanks!

Sorry, 1 more question... should I glue the track or ditch it and just glue the transition directly to the concrete?
