Epoxy Grout? Suggestions

Just got done with an outdoor tile job on my back patio. Still need to grout it.

Should I use epoxy grout since it is outside? I heard it is a pain to work with. If I need to use the epoxy, anyone have any suggestions on what brand to buy and the best way to work with the stuff?

If not epoxy, what other grout would be suitable for outdoors?

Epoxy Grout? Suggestions

Well I did some more research and it sounds like epoxy grout is some really tough stuff to work with.

Laticrete 1500 says it's approved for indoor/outdoor use, and is mold/mildew resistant when mixed with their special blend. The area under the tile is waterproofed. Not sure how the 1500 would hold up to the outdoor temperatures though, and I still would rather have my grout waterproof. Any insight from anyone?

Epoxy Grout? Suggestions

I used epoxy grout on my kitchen countertop. Not hard to work with at all. I don't think that I would use it for a large scale application. Way too expensive.

Laticrete Spectralock or Mapei Opticolor are the Epoxies to go with. There are other higher end products but you are getting into full scale epoxies that are a pain to work with. Spectralock and Opticolor are both fairly easy if you watch your time and make sure you clean it correctly. It does get expensive though on a large application.
