Engineered Wood question

We are installing Thomasville Engineered Wood (1/2") flooring over existing (old) hardwood.

Should we Glue, Nail/Staple, or float?

(we don' know exactly what type of wood we're going over; wood has a pretty thin tongue)
Thanks
