Question

Engineered UV oil floors finish vs. Aluminum Oxide

I love the look of the (Engineered) Oil floors over the Aluminium Oxide finishing. My understanding is the UV oil require more maintains - annual/simiannual Oil application verses the maintains free Alum. Oxide treated ones. But I also have been told that Alum oxide finishes leave a "white" scratch marks when marred - that you can use a marker to hide, verses rubbing out the scratch on the UV oil floors. The floor I choose will GO INTO a Kitchen area as well as family room, hall, den. Does anyone have any experience with a UV oil Floor in a Kitchen area and how well do they survive.
