Engineered hardwood? Noob
I am a noob when it comes to the engineered hard wood flooring. I just got done remodeling my front room. I am now to the floor. The carpet was nasty. I did not believe how much crap sand dust was under that carpet.
What are some good brands of flooring and what brands should I stay away from? I am hoping to find some decent flooring around 3 dollars a square foot.
What other factors of this type of flooring should I look at when deciding on this purchase. Also any good flooring websites you could suggest to possible purchase from would be helpfull also.
Off to search this website again. THanks
By the way I am going to be putting this over hardwood that is stained and ruined from years of carpet being over it.
i've bought solid brazillian tigerwood a couple of times from hursthardwoods.com. they are cheaper then any other place on shipping and the product was great. they also carry laminate and engineered flooring. they do have some prefinished engineered (walnut, oak, and hickory) for around 3.00 a sq ft. if you call talk to a guy named winston. if going over hardwood make sure you get flooring that can float. some engineered can be nailed/stapled, glued or floated.
Thanks for the feedback. I will check them out.
