Engineered flooring over tile

I am planning to lay an engineered wood floor. There is already an existing vinyl tile floor over concrete. The tile is in excellent condition. Is it necessary to tear it up and, either way, should I glue or float the flooring?

What Brand flooring are you going with? Most of them I believe are floating. Never attempt to fasten a floating floor down or it will buckle up. Should be no problem laying a floating floor over your existing tile.

Thanks! I floated the flooring directly without any cement. I did put a moisture barrier between the tile and the flooring. It worked out great.
