Electric Heated Floors Products Recommendations?

I am thinking of installing an electric heated floor system when I re-tile my upstairs bathroom. Any recommedations of companies to use/stay away from? (I read on another message board about a bad experience wtih Thermosoft.) Recommendations on mats versus wires you layout yourself? Thanks.

Mats are generally easier for a DIYer. The loose cable has the advantage if you your layout is all cut up though. You can put it exactly where you need it.

I got my stuff from Thermosoft. No problems whatsoever.

The product was easy to install ( it was my first time laying tile AND putting in floor heating) and it works great. I did a pretty big kitchen, and got the biggest mat you could run on 110v. it is really sweet, i will be doing my master bath with heated floors as well

Warm Tiles makes a good one we use to carry it but our supplier dropped it.

Yep, Warm Tiles is what we used on our last job. Seemed to be a good product and was cheaper than any of the competition I priced. Warmly Yours has to be the most expensive I've seen by far.

I cannot recommend Warmly Yours. It worked for a year. That's it. An electrician told us the thermostat wires were undersized. I notified the company who had in fact replaced the therm with a bigger one. They said it was out of warranty. We still have a nonfunctioning floor. The electrician couldn't fix it.

I used Suntouch - Watts Radiant, going on 4 years now without a problem. I used the wire instead of the pre-made matts
For the same price I bought enough wire to do the bathroom, hallway outside the bathroom, & a couple runs down the long hallway

Warm Tiles from Easy Heat.
http://www.easyheat.com/Content1/Pro.../wt_detail.htm

Only problem is that i installed it only in the 1st floor bathroom when we gutted it a couple of years ago, and my wife keeps complaining that the tiles are cold in our 2nd fl. Master Bath!
