Drywall or studs first before self leveling cement
Just want to thank first the moderators of this website, you have given us ways to help one another and share ideas.
Anyways, here's my question:
I am planning to add a bathroom in our basement. There is a certain part of my basement that is alocated where all the drains are already in place. One of my problem is the uneven concrete floor which will cause issues when I tile. I am planning to use a self leveling cement to make the floors even. Since the rest of the basement is already finish, I am concerned that the self leveling cement will bleed under the studs going to the finished floors (laminate on Delta-FL).
Question 1: Is it ok for me to put up the wood studs and drywalls first before pouring the self leveling cement?
Questions 2 (in case the answer to questions 1 is Yes): How can I seal the base of the studs/drywall to make sure that the self leveling cement will not bleed outside the studs.
Question 3: What brand of self leveling cement will give a very even and smooth finish?
Thanks in advance guys.
