Double checking, floor tile, bathroom

I have 3/4 advantac flooring in my bathroom. Planning on tiling:

Do I add 1/2 hardibacker? Totaling 1 1/4 thick (this was my plan)
Do I screw the hardi to advantac or do I need to put thinset between the 2.

Thanks for the help!
Chip, baltimore

I would add a layer of at least 3/8 (1/2" would be better) subfloor rated plywood screwed down between the floor joist every 4" on the edges and 6 to 8" in the field, thin set then 1/4" tile board.

Go to:
http://www.advantechperforms.com/upl...2010032721.pdf
This is where Advantech makes their recommendations on how to tile over their product. I would assume this is the best advice for free you'll get regarding their product.
