Does the subfloor have to acclimate before install?

I am going to put in a 1/4 inch plywood subloor in order to raise my living room up to meet my kitchen, then Im putting engineered hardwood throughout. Does the subfloor have to sit in order to acclimatise like the hardwood before install? or is it ok to do it right away?

Does the subfloor have to acclimate before install?

Hi,

Your subfloor is already installed, that 1/4" plywood in an underlayment, not a subfloor. Specifically what kind of plywood is it? Very important. Yes all materials should acclimate for a few days first. With plywood be sure not to stack it,.
