Dirty, black dirt hardwood floors

How do I remove black dirt from hardwood floors. I scrubbed in a small area with water until I could see the wood. How can I get my beautiful hardwood floors back?

And using water on a real wood floor is not a great idea.
Try Murrys Oil soap to clean and Liquid Gold to make them shine.
If there old and worn out with no finish on them your stuck with refinishing.
