direction of laminate flooring

Hi all

i am in the pre-planning stages of purchasing/installing laminate wood flooring. since i cannot afford to do my whole house at once, i will end up doing two rooms for right now.

i have two rooms that are off of the hallway. i will be doing the hallway later but for now, i need to know which direction to run my flooring slats. should the hallway slats run long ways and then the bedrooms the opposite direction?

i am attaching a floor plan of the rooms/hallway so you can see what im saying.

now, the hallway, living room and dining room all run together meaning i have no walls to divide each room up. the bedrooms are the only rooms that have a door/wall to separate them. with that, whatever direction the hall runs, should the rest of the house run the same way?

again, i am only installing the 2 bedrooms for right now. just trying to plan ahead.

I would run the hall and other rooms the same direction. If your doing the bedrooms you could change the direction in those if you want.
