I posted this question on another forum, but no one could give me anything more than vague gut feelings:
Any thoughts on the following layers?: Delta-FL, 1" 60 psi foam (overkill?), 3/4" Advantech, Laticrete Multipurpose Pro, Nobleseal TS, Laticrete Megabond, mesh-backed penny-round porcelain tile.
This installation is going over a basement slab with no insulation and no poly vapor barrier. The rest of the basement will be Delta-FL, 1" 25 psi foam, 3/4" Advantech, and carpet. The carpeted area is the area where I'm worried about the potential for surface water from the floor-wall joint (I'm already replacing the perimeter drainage tile and putting a waterproof membrane on the exterior of the foundation).
The tiled area will be in an area of the basement that is mostly above grade, so perhaps I could put the foam directly on the slab, eliminating the Delta-FL in this area. Would you run tapcons through the Advantech and the foam? Is PL 300 necessary?
