You may have to dry it though to prevent white water spots.

For me, I use Murphys Oil Soap (as long as your floor is finished). It really gets the grime off and has a pleasant smell to it.

But if you are looking for a homemade variety----- in a bucket mix 1/2 cup of white vinegar per one gallon of warm water. Dip in your mop and squeeze out the excess and mop your wood floors. No rinse is required

good luck and happy cleaning

Never ever ever use murphys oil soap on hardwood floors. Only clean wood floors with a product that does not leave any residual on the floor. Murphys does.

I always recommend Bona wood floor cleaner to our clients. Murphys oil soap is about the worst thing you can use to clean wood floors. Bona even makes a spray mop that is like a wet swiffer, it makes cleaning really easy.

Isn't their a protective poly finish over the bamboo? Something like Murphy's will turn it into an ice rink.
