Dal Tile Gold Nugget Q

I purchased 520812121P6 Gold Nugget Porcelain tile from HD it does not match my existing tile from HD purchased 8 years ago # 52081212HD1P2

I found 520812121p2 on some online stores does anyone know if there is a difference? Considering the one I just purchased was ending in P6 .....

Thanks

I would imagine so. Tile does have shade lots. You can't make two batches of tile come out looking exactly the same. 8 years later you are probably several batches removed from the original. It could be way off in color. The ending number for Daltile doesn't indicate the shade of the tile though. I believe those are container indicators. On my price lists for example it will say "520812121P6 *use when stock of 520812121P5 is depleted". The shade of the tile is a different number entirely on the box. And it varies from one source to another. Since a lot of Daltile's stuff is imported it can be difficult to determine just where on the box you'll find the shade. It's usually listed as Shade, Dye Lot, Batch, or Serial Number.
