Cutting own long leaf pine flooring.....

I have the opportunity to cut and dry my own LLP boards for my house we're building. What size (L,W,T) should I cut them at and how should I plan for the install. I'm sure I will I have to butt them together when installed w/ no T&G...does this mean I will have to face nail them?

Need a little guidance here if anyone has any experience w/ this.

TIA.

PS, left out some important info, this is a raised floor home with 1 1/8" T&G subfloor, so the flooring can be installed directly on top of the vapor barrier, prob Tyvek

Never heard of flooring over Tyvek. Usually it's over rosen paper or felt paper.

You didn't put your location into your profile so I will not be specific--

I suggest that you might find a local sawmill or a cutter with a portable mill---

many offer drying service and some can make the flooring for you ---tongue and groove, planed and ready to install.

Here are two links that will give you a start---Nelsonwoodworks.biz - Home

My suggestion as to thickness is 4/4 planed to 3/4--S4S tongue and grooved.
