Cracked Saltillo

I have several large cracks running thru numerous tiles laid over concrete foundation. What is the best way to replace these tiles? Should I use one of the thinsets made to put over cracks to absorb future expansion/movement? ANy ideas and tips would be appreciated.

static,,, to ck, place some patching plaster over 'em & see what happens in a wk,,, if it crks, they'e joints & will ' reflect ' up into anything rigid w/o proper precautions.

you meant floor, not foundation, didn't you ? ? ?

Cracked Saltillo

It appears to be hairline cracks in the foundation that have refelcted thru the saltillo. I followed the line into a closet which is still carpeted which I pulled up and confirmed the hariline cracks in the foundation. I was assuming that if I don't use some sort of crack prevention mortar that if I replace the tiles it'll just happen again. Looks like I'll have to replace about ten tiles in one location and maybe about the same in another.

I'll try to update with a photo too.
