Cost of Refinishing Hardwood Flooring ?

Greetings--

Im looking for a per sq ft ball park estimate of what a contrator would charge for refinishing oak hardwood flooring. This includes sanding and finishing. Its about 1000 sq ft which includes a living area, hallway and three bedrooms.

The flooring is in great shape. There are no stains or gouges. It has been under carpet most of its life.

Thanks

Cost of Refinishing Hardwood Flooring ?

I was quoted $3/ sq foot plus 500$ for the stairs! I rented the equipment and did it myself and it turned out great!!!! Money well saved!

depends on your location. I had it done for about 1.30 I think. I would have to go back and look. That was sanding, finish and 3 coats of polly. Most quotes where I live in SC were between 1-3 dollars/sq ft.
