Cork flooring in a basement

Anyone had any experience with cork flooring in a basement? I'm considering installing the click together type floating floor tiles over a concrete floor in a basement. The manufacturer recommends a vapor barrier but that's it. I'm worried about installing something expensive over concrete. Is installing such a product in the above mentioned way a mistake or am I good to go?

Cork flooring in a basement

A basement is an ideal location for a cork flooring. It is an engineered product designed for this application. Make sure the vapor barrier is installed properly, no holes/gaps anywhere, all seams taped.

Consider a moisture test on the floor. This will tell you if you have a bad moisture problem that could need more than just a vapor barrier.

Excellent choice! It is naturally insulating and soundproof. I have specified the flooring from this company and the clients always seem happy. Just in case you need more options.
