So I am thinking about doing something a little strange and wanted to hear a few opinions…
I have a deck that has a solid plywood surface painted with bedliner. The bedliner sucks, it’s textured so the kids scrape their knees, it never looks clean etc… but otherwiede the deck is in good shape.
I am thinking of applying a glue-down cork roll underlayment then applying 2-3 layers of marine varnish to the cork as a water sealer. Since cork naturally has a water resistance and antimicrobial properties, I think it could withstand the elements with a quality topcoat…
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?? Is this a crazy waste of time and money??
