Continuation of original parqet into another room

Have old vinyl removed also 1/4 inch paneling that was used as a sub-floor.
Had to do this to continue on with the existing parquet because the parquet doesn't have
1/4 inch paneling underneath it. So now I am down to the 3/4 inch chipboard base floor
panels. Although it is tongue and groove, the seams are wide. Some are 1/2 wide and
can see through below them.

My question: Is there some kind of filler/leveler that I should apply first to smooth out the surface before I put down adhesive?
