concrete patch preparing for drain

My laundry room concrete floor has a slight dip against part of a wall where washer and sink are and which is adjoining a finished room on other side. Any overflow or problem would send water in that direction. Where I would like to put a new drain (connecting to kitchen sink drain pipe under the floor) is in the other direction. Is it possible to just patch that slight dip or do we have to clear out whole room and level it?

the logical place would be in the low spot, if the floor already goes that way. put a pan under the washer and pipe that down through the floor.
