Concrete chip repair prior to ceramic floor tile?
I would like to put ceramic or porcelein tile on my concrete family room floor (lowest level in a tri-level). I've removed the carpet and tile and about 90% of the mastic. The concrete on the periphery of the room is chipped. How do I repair the concrete? The inner portion of the floor is intact and crack free so I just need to repair the chips around the edges.

you can just fill these cracks with the same thinset used for setting the tile. If they are deeper than 1/2" fill first and let dry, otherwise just left the thinset fill them in as you tile.

Thanks for the info. They are deeper so I'll have to do a two two step process.
