A lot of 1980's houses in Las Vegas have white floor tile that is structurally in fine shape, but outdated/ugly as hell. I'm looking to buy a house and budgeting for pre-move-in work. Is there a viable method for re-coloring the tile to a more modern look, or is a complete replacement in order?
Nope, tile gains it's strength and resilience from being baked at high temps, just like a ceramic coffee mug. Painting it afterwards just won't bond well. Ive seen people paint their tile and it's not pretty.
Hell is 8 months of nothing but slate work...
