Can I use mason stains to color tile grout? Thank you!

Problem is...

You may not be able to exactly duplicate the color down the road.

Bud,

Thanks for the warning, I am an artist and work very small - I raku tile pieces and then make mosiacs. No need to do any matching down the road. I added black mason stain until I got a great antique gray. Perfect! Thanks so much for your help! I am trying green tomorrow.

In that case: HAVE FUN!

I am doing a job right now using "concord grape" grout. Try it sometime, it's kinda different.

Sponges are the least of my worries. After one use, those sponges descend to cleaning buckets and trowels.
