Cleaning adhesive from a concrete subfloor

My house had vinyl tiles throughtout which I've taken out, but have this black adhesive that is still on the subfloor. Any way to clean the concrete well enough to stain with a Kemiko-type product? Should I even attempt it? Thanks.

Forget it! The only way to get down to clean concrete is to use a terrazzo grinder and sand while flooding the floor with water.

You could use carpeting or ceramic tiles.

Appreciate the quick and honest reply.

I guess tile or vinyl (again) is the way to go in the bathroms. Any thoughts on vinyl versus laminate in the other areas?

Cleaning adhesive from a concrete subfloor

I was searching for some info regarding the subject of this post. I know it is from 2007 but hopefully it will help out others. I did not find much information on removing the adhesive on google so I decided to try Goo Be Gone and it worked............
