Chatter marks

ok..nubie here...I blew it and did not take the proper precaution to prevent chatter marks on our wood floors. There is on "wave" that runs perpendicular to the floor almost all the way accross the 90ft sq room. Can anyone tell me what's the best way to get rid of these? Do i need to resand this area? Help!
